Hi there, my name is Tom, I am a second year Marketing student in Ulster University , Belfast. I have a passion for all things marketing and am starting this blog to publish content on some marketing areas that interest me most.

 Marketing has a broad range but i'm particularly interested in innovative areas of marketing. Some pieces will be informative, some research based and some simply general interest.

Although it may sound like something from a sci-fi movie, Artificial Intelligence is very much becoming a thing of reality. More and more it is being used in many aspects of life and marketing is one area in which the use of AI has advanced in prevalence and sophistication in recent years. The spread of Covid-19 around the globe has forced people to think creatively to encourage the public to stay inside, wash their hands and help the vulnerable. With newfound levels of boredom and free time have got many creative people at the drawing board coming up with new and interesting ways to spread these messages.   Whilst most of these will likely not see the light of day, they’re an interesting and innovative take on spreading the message to stay at home. #StayingInn Olivia Downing and Sophie Stevens, two advertising executives, set up The Staying Inn – a virtual pub to allow people to enjoy a pint and a packet of crisps from the comfort of their homes during lockdown.
